Whether you’re managing a team of fifty or working with one member of staff, there will come a point where you need to have a conversation you’d really rather avoid. It might be about poor performance, repeated lateness, an attitude that’s affecting the rest of the team or simply someone not pulling their weight.
It could even be telling a brilliant employee they’ve upset a colleague without realising it.
